Aston Martin

Aston Martin adopts a spacious design concept for a new era. Vizona has successfully helped the car manufacturer fit out around 100 locations in the past. The joint relaunch was therefore a logical step especially as the pilot location in Hatfield near London with its 5-metre-high walls presents exceptional challenges when it comes to assembly. — British understatement? Not something the luxury brand needs to worry about. The new design is spacious and comfortable, even has the sports cars parked on parquet flooring among high-quality materials which Vizona incorporates with a modern twist: American walnut and leather details, champagne-coloured aluminium and stainless steel. An absolute highlight is the bar made from Carrara marble with an integrated app-driven coffee machine. An excellent service and an elegant interior: the perfect home for luxurious British car culture.

The task

Vizona reliably implemented around 100 locations for the British carmaker in the past, so the joint relaunch makes absolute sense. The design concept is so much more than high-end surfaces. The furniture has to fit a strict metre grid common to all showrooms, which vary widely in size and height, with no risk of disruptions such as offset joints. That calls for uncommonly exact coordination with suppliers and their materials.

The journey

Special metal surfaces are often provided by local producers, but the results rarely satisfy. Here, Vizona is supplying all components from a single source. This way, it can also develop a unique varnish that honours the envisaged champagne colour for room dividers, metal handles and sit-at counters in line with the architect’s wishes. A further highlight is the Carrara marble cladding for the reception and coffee bar – made with sufficient precision to fit the grid and match the configurable walnut wall modules.

The result

Exact construction plans and well-oiled communication with suppliers. These are just two of the factors that make a success of the project. Once complete, the showroom arouses enthusiasm not just from the client’s design team, but also among dealers. The elegant interior is ready for the international rollout: Brussels to Budapest, Dallas to Washington, São Paulo to Cairo. And more work for Aston Martin is set to follow.
