Onitsuka Tiger

Onitsuka Tiger is the streetwear subsidiary of the Japanese sports shoe brand Asics. So the design message for the new Amsterdam location is “East meets West”. Vizona managed all the local authorisations required, organising the dismantling of the existing store in the shortest possible time. Above all, delivering high Japanese standards in materials and processing requires incredible skills in production and assembly. The spectacular design is particularly striking at the cash desk. Behind the recycled-wood counters, the fitters are installing a jet black back wall made from Sumi mortar and incidentally developed a completely new production technique for the authentic wood texture. Finally, the brand’s lasered Tiger logo adds a steely sparkle to this backdrop. The customer is delighted with the end result and is able to open on time. Rollouts in Berlin, London and Paris are to follow shortly.
