Monocle
Growing appeal of slowing down
Monocle magazine has been reporting on almost everything — from how we live to global affairs — since its launch in 2007. Today, the media company delivers a unique mix of print, audio, film and design products. Recent contributors to this often analogue success story have included the launch of shops and cafés in key cities, from Los Angeles to Tokyo. The brand is continuing its expansion with its first travel store — its biggest retail space to date — at Hong Kong International Airport.
Vizona was commissioned to carry out project management, technical development, production and assembly. Visplay’s Qubo P / L shelving system was used for printed matter for the first time, supplemented by elements made of oak, all manufactured in Europe and installed by local partners. Thanks to the sophisticated and inviting ambience of the store, Monocle is on a par with other global luxury brands, offering a space where the stream of air passengers — 75 million a year — can seek inspiration and slow down.
