Providers of general contractor services for the remodelling of existing buildings are rare in themselves, let alone in the automotive sector. A challenge that Vizona gladly accepts with a wealth of experience!

It is obvious why there are so few general contractor services for existing buildings: the challenges are significantly more complex than for new builds.

The necessary measures and therefore the remodelling costs are difficult to estimate – because you often don’t know what’s behind the next wall. Or whether the floor structure is suitable as a base for the new CI tiles.

Reliable inventory documents are also rare.

It is therefore a challenge that few companies take on. For Vizona, however, a good general contractor service is an indispensable basis for smooth shopfitting. In many projects, completion dates are postponed, often with clearly perceptible economic consequences. As a shopfitter, Vizona is usually the last trade on the construction site to install the furniture. If the completion dates are postponed, the furniture assembly must also be postponed and the furniture must be stored temporarily, etc..

So it was obvious to tackle the challenge ourselves.

Vizona’s decisive advantage is the many years of experience and intuition of our project and construction managers, as well as our strong network of many specialists in the fields of building construction, civil engineering, structural engineering and building technology, who can be integrated into the projects as required.

If Vizona is the general contractor and shopfitter on a construction site, we can optimally control the process. All trades are coordinated from the outset. Should there be an unexpected hindrance to construction, we have a common interest with the customer: The damage must be rectified during construction.

A postponement of the opening date must be avoided at all costs – also so that we can deliver our furniture on time and thus relieve our warehousing. And, of course, the socket is located exactly where it is needed for shopfitting planning if the general contractor and shopfitting come from a single source. This keeps costs and time expenditure to a minimum.

In the past, Vizona has already taken on general contractor services when required. In recent years, however, demand has been growing. Vizona has responded to this by greatly expanding its expertise and team in the general contractor sector over the last two years: With an architect and an interior designer who both have extensive experience in the areas of client representation, design, project organisation and the rapid implementation of well-prepared interior construction projects.

In addition to a competent general contractor department, Vizona has access to a reliable network that can provide planning and construction management support at any time. This also includes TGA planners that we coordinate for the customer. We also have well-coordinated installation teams.
