Digital Signage Summit Europe 2018

The Digital Signage Summit took place from July 4- 5th 2018 in Frankfurt am Main on behalf of Integrated Systems Events and Invidis Consulting.

Europe’s leading strategy conference focused on the “Changing the narrative” with the spotlight on how digital technology is being used creative to complement storytelling and not replacing it – in stores, at home, in business cases or in city life.
It was explored how digital can be further implemented in retail to provide a richer “in-store” experience for customers. This strengthens the “retail fight back” against the pervasive growth of “online only”.

In the Panel discussion with Vizona CEO Matthias Hummel and Head of Automotive Jörg Lehmann, Florian Rotberg (Invidis Consulting) discussed trends and drivers in retail concepts for Automotive, Department Stores, Fashion and Travel Retail. Each industry has its own challenges:
Car brands try to get closer to the inner city or pedestrian areas where to find a complete new way to show their portfolio on a limited space. Fashion stores have to compete creatively with the permanent and comprehensive availability of online assortments.

So the main question for retailers is, how to create unique experiences for stores, showrooms and shop-in-shop spaces by integrating digital while keeping the necessary flexibility. As a shopfitter and project managment company, Vizona is already an experienced consultant for retailers during this process.
So the discussion was underlined by project insights which have been generated over the very long company history in shopfitting of Vizona and global projects were made tangible.

This years DSS Europe was the biggest in its 12-year history and Vizona was able to contribute its shopfitting experience.
