Fashion as pure “joie de vivre” - new shopping experience at Wöhrl`s in Ingolstadt
Since 29 March 2012, the Wöhrl fashion house in Ingolstadt has presented itself in new glamour.
It all began about 80 years ago with a simple button. The button, which the company founder Rudolf Wöhrl found as a young man on the road, became his lucky charm – and the hallmark of his fashion company which has been successful for three generations. The traditional family enterprise with 38 fashion houses across all of Germany was and is known for its high claim to quality and creativity.
Since 29 March 2012, the Wöhrl fashion house in Ingolstadt has presented itself in new glamour. The architect firm of Anders + Grabmeister GmbH/ Hamburg developed a completely new store concept which was implemented by Vizona West GmbH/ Langenfeld. The emphasis of the new store concept is on clearly structured path guidance, a transparent room structure, a new sequence of departments and products and the accentuated lighting concept.
In the course of the move and extension of the store area to an overall area of approx. 7,000m², Vizona West GmbH/ Langenfeld assumed the technical development, construction, manufacturing and logistics as well as assembly of all furniture and wall fittings on two levels at the WestparkCenter in this innovative and technically very sophisticated project.
A new product carrier concept was developed for all departments. Various and high-quality furniture with pearl/chrome surfaces in metal, rough steel in vintage look, real wood oak in different designs, rustic pine, lacquered surfaces in matt and high gloss as well as metal mesh, slate, tiles and high-quality plastic plates with inlaid thin gold plates and colour reflexes give the fashion house a new, modern appearance.
Systems of Visplay/Weil am Rhein were included on both floors. Stabilo, Invisible and Xero systems were used in almost all of the departments. A uniform concept for the centre room was developed with the Kado structural system which, due to its modularity and functionality, can be employed in different presentation variants for multilabel areas at Wöhrl’s. For the premium areas, the Invisible 6 system, the horizontal carrier system with hidden technique, was chosen which, in an almost invisible way, takes different product carriers and places the high-quality fashion in the foreground.
The illumination concept and illumination planning was also assumed by the architect firm of Anders + Grabmeister GmbH/ Hamburg. Ansorg GmbH from Mülheim a.d.R. implemented the illumination concept. The accentuated illumination concept guides customers by an atmospheric light/dark distribution through the sales room and places a contrasting presentation of goods in the foreground. Bit and Punta lights create an attractive focus on the product carriers.
